文の中で説明される難語・抽象表現

英文では、読み手が知らなそうな語や、中身のはっきりしない表現のすぐあとに、コンマをはさんで「それはつまり何か」が書かれることがあります。大学入試の長文から、その説明が -ing で始まる文を集めました。分詞構文と取り違えやすい形です。
